Therapeutic massage are massages techniques aimed to relax and ease tension to the entire body. This is accomplished by applying various
massage techniques to the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. Swedish massage therapy can go beyond relaxation. Each session will be unique based on clients' needs.
Stress and anxiety often causes muscle tension in the entire body, but especially in both the neck and shoulders regions. This can also cause
headaches, fatigue and even depression. I offer a personalized treatment for each client. Although the pressure applied in relaxation massages is lighter in touch using longer strokes and soothing techniques, I will make sure to adjust the session in order to help promote overall body relaxation based on your needs. The combination of techniques used will help reduce stress, release tension and muscle knots leading to a calmer mind and body feeling.
Deep tissue massage is usually performed without oil, using long, slow strokes. It targets the deepest layers of muscle and connective tissue, helps
relieve chronic muscle tension by loosening them and eliminates toxins.
Sports Massage:Â The main purpose of a sports massage is to help athletes or any active person to achieve their best performance while training or
preparing for competitions. By using special techniques, I can help relieve inflammation, fatigue, stress and tension points in the body. This massage is more of a therapeutic treatment than a relaxation treatment. It is ideal for athletes, people with active lifestyles and people recovering from injury.
Foot Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific acupressure points and areas located on both the top and bottom of the foot.
Reflexologists believe that these areas and reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them has a beneficial effect on these organs and can improve a person's general health.
Dien Chan is a method of facial and head reflexology that includes multiple diagrams and a map of reflection points placed on the face. By applying
pressure to these points the aim is to assist in the relief of muscle and joint pain along with other bodily discomforts. Can be combined with other therapies: Swedish Massage and Reflexology.
Active Isolated Stretching (AIS): Easily coupled with reflexology, Swedish massage, deep tissue or sports massage. Active Isolated Stretching
(AIS) is a technique that lengthens and strengthens muscle tissue. Our muscles have two major functions: to contract or relax. The idea of AIS is to hold a stretch for one to two seconds, relax, and then repeat the movement for 10 to 15 times for one to two sets. Based on client's needs and muscle tension issues, certain AIS techniques will be provided.
Prenatal:Â Specifically designed for the mother-to-be who needs a rejuvenating and pampering treatment, my prenatal massage
relieves tense pregnancy-related muscles especially to the lower back region. Available in 60 or 90 minute sessions. This gentle massage is only available to women who have completed at least 13 weeks of pregnancy.
Hot Stones: This type of Swedish massage uses the heat of the stones to release tension in the body's tissues and allows for a moment of relaxation. The stones are placed at specific points on the body to release deep tension points and stimulate blood circulation. This massage will reduce muscle pain by reducing tension and releasing fascia. 90min @ 145$
